Cotton Tail Layout - Tonya Gibbs

Today I wanted to share with you a layout that I created using Marion's Grand Mini Album and Life Planner downloads.

These are some of my favorite photos of my nieces.  We took them at Easter last year.  The bunny was such a sweet addition to the photo shoot, and Addie kissing the bunny was just the sweetest moment ever!

I really wanted the focus to be on the photographs for this layout.  So I tried to avoid too many embellishments and color.  Since their dresses had so much pink in them, I decided to avoid pinks in my paper choices.  If there is a dominate color in your photo, try to chose papers and embellishments that do not contain these colors.  It will help to send everything to the background and make your photo pop!

I placed the photos into the photo frames that are available in the Life Planner download. These frames alone make this kit worth having. I just love their odd shape. I used patterns from both collections to create my own washi tapes.  Then finished off the layout with lace to soften up the harsh lines of the journal pages, and embellishments.

A Pop Up Card

With Fathers Day coming up shortly in New Zealand, I needed to get a card ready!  The Nirvana range really does have something for everyone - so it was the perfect choice for this little project!

I love to create interesting pop-up cards and books - I think they add something quite magical to the message you are sending to the receiver.  I tend to keep the card front reasonably simple, since the surprise is on the inside.

I will be doing a tutorial for this card in the coming weeks, so if you'd like to create this card yourself - go and grab yourself the Nirvana line so you'll be ready to play along!

Thanks for stopping by!

Hi everyone,

I made today's card with Marion's printables :)

I used this fantastic Folder Book Kit Printable:

but in stead of making a book I made this shabby card.

Did you see our latest release?
Fantastic NIRVANA papers and stamps.
I´ll give you a small sneak peek:

Please stay tuned and come back later today for more inspirations.
My friend Sarah prepared something special for you.

Shabby Greeting Card With A Twist

Well hello there! Welcome to my first post with Marion Smith Designs woohoo! Today I want to share a card with you! I wanted to send something to someone special I haven't seen in a long time, so I wanted to create a card, but spice it up a little bit! I used papers from Marion Smith's printables, Scarlet, Folder Book Kit, & Life Journal Book that you can find here! Make sure you check them out, they are stunning!

Sometimes you like to stick pictures of your kids or pups or whoever in cards right?  For that reason I thought some pockets were much needed, so I created a pull-out accordion effect;

Now it has 3 pockets I can cram stuff into, like tags!

Marion's designs are so absolutely beautiful, all you really have to do is cut them out strategically, and the results are gorgeous! Like this postcard;

Just add a little tape at the top to make it look like it's "taped on" and you're all set! A perfect little cozy place to write your sentiments ;)

I used a few other stamps & embellishments I had handy, but other than that I mostly used printable papers from Marion's shop. There are so many beautiful elements in every line, it's so easy to mix & match!

I hope you enjoyed my first project and thank you so much for stopping by! Wasn't Aneta's card gorgeous?! I am so honored to be a part of such an amazing team!

Love, Sarah

Quick & Easy Cards using Scarlet Printables

One of my favorite things to do with my scraps is to make cards. The pieces left over from scrapbooking and mini album, etc, are the perfect size for making simple and easy cards. That's exactly what I did today.

Early this morning I was hanging out online with friends finishing up a few weeks of Project Life. Every now and then we will sign on to a Google Hangout via Google Plus and work on Project Life while chatting away drinking coffee or tea.

I had these leftovers on my desk from other project so I decided to go back to my original craft of card making to make use of these beautiful prints. As a crafter I don't like waste and I know it's an inevitable part of paper crafting so any way I can use more of my supplies I will.

A little bit of stamping goes a long way on this card I created the focal point using one stamp set and a variety of inks. I was thinking of creating a thank you card for a wedding.

A few pearls and jute twine finishes everything off just nicely.

This card mixes a bit of stamping as well as some embossing for the sentiment. An embellishment made from a heart punch adds a finishing touch. I also added a bit of washi tape to accent the beautiful butterfly paper from Marion Smith.

These are two quick and easy cards that you can easily make using your gorgeous scraps. The flat embellishments make this card easy to mail without any hassel.

Quick Tip: Add a few extra embellishments along the washi tape when you send this to your crafty friend. The washi's surface is slick so the embellishments will come off easily and your friend can easily add them to other projects. Who doesn't love a card with a gift!!

Dont forget to contact your Local Scrapbook Store to request Marion Smith Designs products to be carried. This includes two new paper collections (Mad Tea Party & Nirvana) with matching stamps.

You can contact sales@marionsmithdesigns.com for more information.

Layout / A Moment in Time- Ana Paula Leal

I'm very proud to be here with all those wonderful  and talented ladies
who inspired me to create a debut layout.

The theme is about this special moment I am living now
and I loved to work with the digital files that Marion kindly provided to the team.

You will find lot of interesting  digital files in her online shop
I printed the files in different materials as:
transparent adhesive film, transparencies, textured papers
to create multiple layers and several effects.

Hope you enjoy and be inspired!
